When this week's Blogger's challenge was posted, I got soooo excited 'cause the theme this week is Halloween! As you know, I've been playing with Stampin Up's Nite Owl DSP (Designer Series Paper) and the Dark & Dreary stamp set. I created several of these last weekend at the Weekend Memories crop I vendored at and had so much fun! While all but one are cards, keep in mind that anything we do to cards can also be done to a scrapbook page.
Here's the grouping of the 3 cards that used the Nite Owl DSP. It's in the
Stampin Up Holiday Mini Catalog, #123012, $9.95.
Here's a closer look at each one.
What was so much fun with these images was that they all started out black & white.
For this card, I used sponge daubers and sponges to color it in. I used Stampin
Write Markers to color the candles and candelabra.
For this one, I used my brayer, then sponges to get the effect.
It was pretty easy and I like how it turned out.
Here's the inside. Again, I used the brayer and sponged the edges.
Here's the list of what I used on the cards. All products are Stampin Up.
Stamp set: Grateful Greetings #116511, $36.95
Inks: Basic Black, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, More Mustard, Basic Grey, Old Olive, RichRazzleberry
Cardstock: Basic Black, Whisper White, Basic Gray, More Mustard, Nite Owl DSP
Accessories: Stampin Around Wheel, Dimensionals, Mat Pack, Paper Piercer, Neutrals Brads, Sponge Daubers, Sponges, Brayer.
I'll post another haunting card and show you a closeup of the candy wrapper for you tomorrow.
Until then, Happy Crafting!
