Thanks So Much

I wanted to share a card that I made on Friday night with the help of a few very close intimate friends (thanks Bonnie, Carren & Dawn!).  We made these for my Mom.  You see, we lost my Dad last week.  He passed away very early on Thursday morning and the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming.  Thanks to all of you who have said prayers, sent cards, sent emails, posted on facebook or called.  It's meant so very much to us.

I saw the inspiration for this card on the cover of Stampin Success.  It's our demonstrator magazine that we get each month.  It's just one of the perks of being a Stampin Up demonstrator.

  

 

We used a couple of stamp sets here.  The first was the beautiful Sale-A-Bration set Bliss.  I'm in love with the flourish and butterfly images. 

 

The second set we used was Sincere Salutations.  It's such a versatile set. There is a greeting for just about every occasion and one I go to time and time again.

Tip:  See the punched flowers all lined up on the strip?  I put them on the glue dots first, then they were ready to place where they were needed quickly.  Made for super quick assembly.

An Elegant Card Using Stampin Up's Bliss

Here is a quick post showing one of my favorite stamp sets from the Stampin Up Sale-A-Bration offerings this year called "Bliss".  My favorite image in the set is the flourish - the largest one.  It is so beautiful!  I created my own background paper by stamping Basic Black on Whisper White card stock.  I added a pop of red and came up with this card. 

Tip:  To line up the images perfectly, I used my Stampamajig.  One of my all time favorite stamping tools.  I use it for both wood mount and clear mount images for absolute perfect placement every time! 

Notice the stamped image on the envelope for an added touch.  No naked envelopes right?  Stamping on the envelope is so easy when using the envelopes that we carry.  The paper is super smooth and takes the ink well with no show thru on the other side.  Gotta love that!
