First, let me begin this post by apologizing to you. I had issues with my computer today and thanks to my wonderful hubby, it's now back in working order. (Thanks Gary!) Let's get caught up on the RemARKable Holiday Blog Tour. My post this time is a Christmas card. When I first got the 2009-2010 Stampin Up Idea Book and Catalog, I preused it and fell in love with "Scenic Season". It's so beautiful and serene.
I've been vendoring at a crop since yesterday and I created this card last night. When I went to grab my markers to color the stamp to give it the color I wanted, I discovered that I had left my markers at the crop. So, after scratching my head, I came up with how I got the color just like I wanted.
I inked up the image with Handsome Hunter, avoiding the "Season's Greetings". I then got some cotton swabs (aka Q-Tips) moistened them with good old H2O, squeezed out the excess and then carefully removed the ink from the cardinal and snow.
I used a dauber to color the cardinal, and a blender pen to pick up Bordering Blue ink from my ink pad and colored the snow covered ground. Then I inked the salutation in Night of Navy. Of course, I had to put glitter on the ground, just for the fun of it.
