Yesterday was a fun filled and interesting day. We drove around the island and I've got to tell you, they don't call it the Big Island for nothing! We went from dry to ranch, to tropical, to volcanic to desert and back to dry again. Lots of different climates here. I've posted some photos for you to check out.
The biggest highlight of the day was in the evening. We were driving along Route 11, making our way back toward the hotel when we spotted a sign for the Black Sand Beach. We did a quick turn and went. Boy, are we glad we did! Just look what we found there!
